Great shot! Like everyone else, I love the truck.
Years ago I visited a friend in NM and we basically drove from one end of the State to the other. I couldn't agree more with it being like a painting rather than reality. The beauty is unreal, no matter what part of the state you visit. And, it's a dry heat! ;c )
Seriously though, I'd probably take the heat there over our heat here with the ridiculous humidity.
Also while I was there, I skied Taos. How great is that? Walking around in shorts and T-shirts down low, and skiing up on high. Paradise.

Hey bro,
This is a great shot - I know exactly where you took it. All that is missing is Uncle Punky's cat Patches.

We have a truck similar to this in our garage-its Michael's grampa's 1961 Ford F250. Its not been fixed up so it has a lot of character! Great Picture!

I went on a family trip to New Mexico when I was 9....and I still remember the magic of it 19 years later. You're right....it is more of a painting than a place.

I'd have to agree with Steve... The truck is what makes the photo. Too bad you can't find old trucks like that 'round here. The salt from the roads has eaten away at the finish and engine leaving nothing but a pile of rust and dried rubber....

I was just going to comment so hopefully you would owe me lunch, but I do have to say that's a cool little truck.

Also, I normally HATE power lines in general, but they make it work in this photo.
